The Council measures how well it is doing in relation to the prompt payment of invoices for commercial goods and services. 

The Council uses performance indicator 'BV8 - the percentage of invoices paid on time' to measure performance.

This measures the % on invoices paid within 30 days of receiving them. 

Performance against BV8 

• 2006/2007 - 96.94% of invoices paid within time
• 2007/2008 - 95.05% of invoices paid within time
• 2008/2009 - 96.90% of invoices paid within time
• 2009/2010 - 95.80% of invoices paid within time

The target for 2010/2011 is that 98% of all invoices received by the Council will be paid within 30 days of receiving them.
