Payment of Invoices
The Payments section within Financial Services deals with payments for all supplies of goods and services to Craven District Council

The payments section is also involved in the productions of payments for Council Tax / Non-Domestic Rate refunds and Benefit cheques.


 

Financial Services are committed to improving the performance of payments to suppliers in accordance with the Best Value Performance Indicator 8 (BVPI8).

 

BVPI 8 is an indicator that measures how well the Council is doing in relation to the prompt payment of invoices for commercial goods and services.  BVPI 8 measures the percentage of invoices paid by the Council within 30 days of receiving them. 

 

How does Craven District Council perform?

  1. In 2004/2005 94.05% of invoices received were paid within 30 days
  2. In 2005/2006 94.49% of invoices received were paid within 30 days.
  3. In 2006/2007 96.94% of invoices received were paid within 30 days.
  4. In 2007/2008 95.5% of invoices received were paid within 30 days

 

The target for 2008/2009 is that 97.10% of all invoices received by the Council will be paid within 30 days of receiving them.
