Payment By BACS
Craven District Council is currently developing its systems to allow payment of suppliers by BACS instead of by cheque.
The Council recognises that this approach is efficient both internally and for suppliers and is encouraging as many suppliers as possible to ask for payment by BACS.

Introduction of Purchasing Cards
As part of Craven District Council's e-Procurement Strategy, work is currently underway to introduce Procurement Cards for officers. Procurement Cards will provide officers with a quick and efficient method of making small scale purchases.
Initially cards will be provided to a small number of officers as a pilot project although it is intended to roll out purchasing card to all relevant officers in due course.
