Information and plans for the refurbishment of Settle Town Hall will be one of the key displays at the Mid Craven and Ribblesdale Area Forum which will take place on Tuesday 13 May between 6and 9pm.
The Settle meeting will also see the official launch of the Craven Biodiversity Action Plan and copies will be available to view and officers will be on hand to answer questions about local biodiversity.
This year the Settle meeting will be a ‘drop-in’ event when residents can attend for a quick chat or stay longer and make the most of having one to one discussions with representatives from a variety of local organisations.
Organisations with information stands at the event include StART, Going Green in Settle District, Craven Housing, North Yorkshire County Council, Yorkshire Dales National Part Authority, Craven District Council, North Yorkshire Police, Safer Craven Community Partnership and North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service so there will be the opportunity to get answers to a range of questions.
Later in the week the North Craven Area Forum will take place at Ingleborough Community Centre on Thursday 15 May at 7 pm.
This will be a public meeting and agenda items will include:
• Priorities for Community Safety when representatives from NY Police, NY Fire and Rescue Service and the Safer Craven Community Partnership will lead a discussion about local community safety issues and agree top priorities for action.
• Keep Craven Clean Campaign when the council will give an update on the current status and progress of this campaign and listen to audience feedback about areas of local concern.
• Open Forum where residents can ask representatives from NYCC Highways, Craven Housing and others any question not covered elsewhere on the agenda.
“We do hope the new format of the Settle Forum will encourage even more residents to take part. It is vital that we hear the views of our residents so that we can shape the way services are delivered”, said Paul Ellis, Head of Stronger Communities.
Other diary dates for Area Forums are:
Wharfedale at Cracoe Village Hall on Monday 19 May at 7 pm
Airedale and South Craven at Glusburn Insititute on Thursday 22 May at 7 pm
