BT Pay Phone Consultation

On 12th June 2008 BT advised Craven District Council of the potential closure of 22 pay phone boxes throughout the district.

The Council carried out a consultation on the proposals by BT and issued a first notification which set out the Council's draft decision in response to the proposals
by British Telecommunications plc

The final stage of the BT phone boxes consultation has now been completed.

A ‘Final Notification’ has been displayed in each of the phone boxes under consultation and sent to the Secretary of the State, BT and relevant Parish Councils.

Craven District Council has objected to the removal of each of the 22 phone boxes under consultation and we are now awaiting a response from BT, when we will know whether they wish to appeal to us against any of the objections we have made.

Copies of the First and Final Notification are  available to download from the link on this page in either PDF or Microsoft Word format.
