Anyone who has to pay rent on their home may qualify for Housing Benefit.
Anyone who has to pay Council Tax on their home may qualify for Council Tax benefit.
You must complete a claim form, in order for us to calculate your entitlement to housing benefit or council tax benefit.
You can claim:
- at the same time you claim Job Seekers Allowance at your local Job Centre Plus office
- at the same time you claim Pension Credit (if you are over 60) with the Pensions Service
- by completing a form at the Customer Services Centre at Skipton Town Hall or Settle Town Hall
- by completing the on-line benefit form
