All of the chosen Craven LDEP areas were put at the starting level development for the delivery of the programme. This is because all of the communities had undertaken only small amounts of community led activities compared to other areas.
In the beginning and to help effectively deliver the programme at ground level a steering group was set up with representatives from each of the communities, associated District Councillors and relevant outside organisations. (Doc. available to download - O2 P3 for Craven)
Terms of reference were also adopted (available to download).
A dedicated support officer was employed, a local easy access small grant scheme was set up and a project to tackle basic training needs was established.
