The Council's Vision
'The Council will spearhead the development of and strengthen Craven's economy while conserving and enhancing its unique rural environment.'

To deliver this vision we will strengthen our relationship with North Yorkshire County Council, and our other partners; and seek greater influence through our membership of the Leeds City Region.


The Council's Priorities
The Council has 3 priorities to deliver this vision.  These are:

• Developing and Strengthening Craven's Economy
• Promoting the Well-Being of Craven's Communities
• A More Cost-Effective and Efficient Council

The Council Plan 2009 - 2012 sets out how the Council will improve service delivery to Craven communities and rejuvenate itself as an organisation fit for purpose, against its priorites to deliver its Vision.
