The Council's Vision
'The Council will spearhead and strengthen the development of Craven's economy while conserving and enhancing its unique rural environment.'

To deliver this vision we will strengthen our relationship in North Yorkshire with the County Council, District Councils, our Parishes and our other partners; and seek greater influence through our membership of the Leeds City Region.


The Council's Priorities
The Council has 2 priorities to deliver this vision.  These are:

• Strengthening Craven's Economy and Promoting the Well-Being of Craven's Communities
• A More Cost-Effective and Efficient Council

The Council Plan 2009 - 2012 sets out how the Council will improve service delivery to Craven communities and rejuvenate itself as an organisation fit for purpose, against its priorites to deliver its Vision.
