Annually, an independently appointed external auditor undertakes a review of the Council's performance, including a specific audit of the Council's Statement of Accounts.
Following completion of this work, the auditor produces an Annual Audit Letter. The Annual Audit Letter summarises the conclusions of the audit and inspection programme for the financial year and comments, where appropriate, on any other related issures.
