Statement of Accounts
The Statement of Accounts is intended to give electors, Members, employees and other interested parties clear information about the Authority’s finances.

The purpose of the Statement of Accounts is to provide answers to basic questions such as:-

  1. What did the Council’s services cost in the year of account ?
  2. Where did the money come from ?
  3. What did the Council own and owe at the end of the financial year?

The Statement of Accounts is prepared in accordance with the Code of Practice on Local Authority Accounting.

 

The final Statement of Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2009 has now been produced. This can be downloaded from this web page.  

A summary version is also available to download.

Copies in alternative formats or languages can be made available on request.

Copies of the Statement of Accounts for the financial years 2007/ 2008 and 2006/2007 financial year can also be downloaded from this web page.  Earlier years are available on request.
