Priority Groups
Priority Groups are being established for each of the Fve Priorities For Action listed in the Sustainable Community Strategy. These groups will be responsible for implementing plans and for driving delivery of outcomes to achieve the priority aims of the LSP.
Wherever possible the Priority Groups connect with, or build upon existing partnerships to avoid duplication of effort, and to ensure coherence with other plans.
Members of the Priority Groups will be representatives of partner organisations who have direct involvement or interest in the issues being addressed and/or a specialist knowledge of them. They will also have the ability to influence their own organisations at an operational level.
To ensure accountability to local people local councillors with relevant portfolio responsibilities will play a key role in their appropriate Priority Group.
