Vision, Mission, and Core Values
Our Vision, Mission and Core Values

The Council's Corporate Plan 2008- 2011 sets out how we will deliver and improve services through our Corporate Priorities to achieve our Mission and Vision.

Our Vision is
'to take the lead in developing Craven as a prosperous and sustainable rural community'

Our Mission is to
'provide excellent and accessible local servics that really work for everyone'


As a key partner in the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP), we will work in partnership to implement the Craven Community Strategy 2007 - 2013 and deliver our vision for the District.

Working with partners in the private, public and community and voluntary sectors, we will improve services, create a prosperous Craven and improve the quality of life for all. 
 

Our Core Values

We have core values which inform everything we do.
These are:

Investing in our employees and Councillors to help them all to reach their potential and ensure high quality services are provided

Striving to be customer focused and accessible to all our communities

Involving, consulting and communicating with our customers and residents 


Working in Partnership
Working proactively and effectively with the private, public and voluntary sectors to deliver the shared aspirations and objectives within Craven’s Community Strategy and our Council priorities.

Sustainability
Working to maintain Craven’s unique environment now and for generations to come by securing environmental enhancements, strong and cohesive communities, and economic prosperity.
