Council
Council approves any plans, policies or strategies which have a significant corporate impact on the Council or which have a significant impact on the Council’s resources. It is responsible for agreeing the budget strategy in terms of the total revenue and capital budgets, and determining the amount of Council Tax to be levied. Any fundamental changes to the Council’s Constitution have to be agreed by Council, which is also responsible for the appointment of all Committees, Sub-Committees, the Overview and Scrutiny Groups, and such other Panels and Groups it considers are required.
