Environmental Health
Environmental Health covers a wide range of services listed below to protect public health and safety. The service has both an enforcement and advisory role, responding to the needs of the people and businesses of Craven.

Environmental Protection – Noise, pollution control,  environmental nuisances, air quality, contaminated land, drainage, flooding, pest control, radon, fly tipping, illegal waste disposal, fly posting, abandoned vehicles and dog control

 

Food and Workplace Safety – Food safety advice and law enforcement, health and safety at work advice and law enforcement, communicable disease control, animal welfare licensing, private water supplies.

 

Licensing –  Licensing of hackney carriages, private hire vehicles, taxi drivers, premises selling alcohol, places of public entertainment, caravan sites.

 

In the event of legal action becoming necessary we seek to ensure, in a fair, even-handed and proportionate manner that businesses and individuals comply with the law.
