Environmental Protection carries out regular appraisals of air quality in Craven

The Council has a duty to undertake regular reviews of air quality to determine whether local air quality will satisfy government objectives for a range of pollutants.

 

Assessments have shown that the UK 2005 air quality objectives are expected to be met in Craven. The Council continues to monitor traffic pollution in the form of nitrogen dioxide at various sites around Craven. The results are reported in the reviews and assessments link below.
