The Council's dog warden service promotes responsible dog ownership and enforces Dog Fouling legislation, through advice, leaflets, no fouling notices, patrols and the distribution of poop-scoop bags. The service also deals with Stray dogs and Lost Dogs. If you would like to give a stray dog a new home then please see our Re-homing page.
The dog warden is based within Environmental Protection at Granville Street, Skipton and carries out patrols, picks up strays, investigates complaints and gives advice.
Education is an important tool in tackling the problem and the service carries out regular campaigns and distributes information to the public. If you would like to get involved or would like the dog warden to talk to your school or group please get in touch with us on the number below.
Dangerous dogs should be reported to the Police on tel: 0845 6060247. Further information can be found by following the link to the DEFRA website.
