Where there is significant and unreasonable emission of noise, it may amount to a "Statutory Nuisance" in law.
Legal Controls
When the Council is satisfied that noise is significant and amounts to a ‘statutory noise nuisance’ they are obliged to take legal action to stop the problem. This will result in service of an "Abatement Notice", and contravention of such a notice is an offence.
