PART 4 – GRAFFITI AND OTHER DEFACEMENT




 

  • Inclusion of graffiti and fly posting in the remit of Litter Clearing Notices and the extension of graffiti removal notices to include fly posting
  • A new requirement for all beneficiaries of fly posting (venue/record company/artist) to show that they have taken all reasonable steps to avoid the use of fly posting
  • A provision for local authorities to recover the cost of removing fly posters
  • A new power for local authorities to enforce the ban on the sale of spray paints to under 18’s (as contained in the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003)
