Aireville Park is an attractive area hosting a wide range of facilities. However, improvements could, and should be made!
Craven District Council are working to support the ‘Friends of Aireville Park’ group.
The aim of this initiative is to bring together park users, and groups associated with the park, who wish to see further enhancement of the park’s attributes. The group are encouraged to share their ideas, and work with Council Officers to make the park a more attractive, enjoyable and safer place for all. The group, in partnership with the Council may also apply for funds, which are not currently accessible without the presence of a group of this nature.
The Friends of Aireville Park group formed in 2005. Since then regular informal meetings are held. The group have a Committee and a Constitution, and have worked with the Council to produce an 'Action Plan' for the park.
The Friends are also key contributors in the Heritage and BIG Lottery Fund's Parks for People bid to secure external funding to make improvements to Aireville Park.
