This service provides details of the Council's records of building control applications (since April 1991) for every property in the Craven district, if you are unsure whether the property falls within the Craven area please see the area map.

Lists of Initial Notice notifications which have been recieved by Craven District Council Building Control are also available for viewing.

As part of the move to e-enable services we are providing information from the building control registers.


The reason for giving this information is that in doing so:

• Neighbours can ensure that the building works, where being undertaken will be to an approved standard.
• Persons purchasing properties can check that the relevant work undertaken had the necessary approvals; and
• Owners/agents/neighbours can check that the local authority has received the necessary building regulation applications. 

Plans drawings and other material submitted to the local authority are protected by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (section 47).  You may only use material, which is downloaded and/or printed for the above purposes.  Other information covered by copyright will not be disclosed.  This information must not be used for any commercial or mailing operation and remains a Craven District Council Copyright.
