What Is Planning and Development Control
What is Planning/Development Control?

Most people get involved in the Planning system because they intend to carry out a development themselves, or are concerned about a development being carried out by others.

The main aims of the Planning process is to:

  1. Maintain and improve the quality of the environment.
  2. Ensure that new development is located in the right place and improves the places in which we live and work.
  3. Assist the local economy through tourism, industry and commerce in appropriate places.

We provide a full local Planning Service including:-

  1. Offering pre-application advice
  2. Being able to make a planning application online
  3. Processing and determining planning applications
  4. Appeals
  5. Enforcement
  6. Trees
  7. Conservation areas
  8. Planning policy
