There is currently a gap in the local policy coverage of affordable housing. The aim of the Affodable Housing Guide is to provide advice to anyone with an interest in housing development within Craven (outside the National Park), including landowners, developers, planning professionals, parish councils, members of the public and the Council organisation itself until policies in the Local Development Framework are ready to take over.
The guidance is based on the Government's Planning Policy Statement 3: Housing, the draft Regional Spatial Strategy, the Craven 2005 Housing Needs Assessment and best practice in affordable housing delivery.
