The draft Employment Land Review (ELR) includes a thorough review of existing employment land. It also includes an investigation of potential future employment land supply, in conjunction with the SHELAA, and the identification of a portfolio of potential new employment sites.
It is important to note that, once finalised these studies will not allocate sites for development as that will be done through the Site Allocations DPD.
THE DRAFT EMPLOYMENT LAND REVIEW WILL UNDERGO PUBLIC CONSULTATION FROM 29TH AUGUST TO THE 10TH OCTOBER 2008.
Once finalised, the ELR will inform new planning policy set out in the emerging Site Allocations Development Plan Document and Core Strategy by indicating where employment land is needed in the District, and what type of units should be provided.
