2004 Sports, Open Space and Recreation Facilities Assessment and 2008 Update
This is an assessment of the existing and future needs of the community for open space, sport and recreational facilities within the District.
The study was carried out in 2004 by Knight, Kavanagh and Page Leisure Management Consultancy.
An update to the action plans contained within the assessment was carried out in the summer of 2008 by Craven District Council Policy Team.
The Study covers informal and formal open space, pitch and outdoor sports facilities, and built facilities (including sports halls and village halls).
It establishes the quality and availability of existing facilities and provides a recommended strategy for the improvement of existing and provision of new facilities.
