Strategic Housing Market Assessment
Following a period of public consultation from August to October 2008, the final Strategic Housing Market Assessment was received and accepted by the Council's Policy Committee on Wednesday 28th October 2009.
The Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA) analyses the local housing market characteristics and seeks to identify what factors influence those housing markets.
This includes looking at affordable housing in the District. The study attempts to address issues of affordability by comparing average income to average house price in wards across Craven outside the National Park.
This study will form an important part of the Local Development Framework (LDF) Evidence Base and will inform LDF policies.
