Urban Potential Study
The Council produced an Urban Potential Study for Craven District outside the Yorkshire Dales National Park in 2003.
This study is an assessment of the amount of land within the existing settlement limits, that could potentially come forward for residential development up to 2016. Please click here to download the 2003 Urban Potential Study. To view associated maps of Urban Potential Sites please contact the Planning Policy team for a hard copy.
The Council is currently in the process of commissioning a group of consultants to carry out a Strategic Housing and Employment Land Availability Assessment for the District. This will act as an update to the Urban Potential Study. The Strategic Housing and Employment Land Availability Assessment will be published on the Background Studies page of the website once it is complete.
