Core Strategy Development Plan Document Issues and Options Draft
The Core Strategy Issues and Options document is the first of three drafts of the Core Strategy DPD that must be produced before the final document is adopted for use by the Council.  The draft was written based on the feedback given at the Shaping Places and Spaces Conference held in June 2005.
The Core Strategy Issues and Options Draft was split into five consultation papers, each dealing with one of the topics discussed at the Shaping Places and Spaces Conference.

As part of the Council’s pre submission consultation and in line with Regulation 25 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) Regulations 2004, the Core Strategy Issues and Options consultation papers were issued for a statutory 6-week consultation period, which ran from Monday 19th June - Monday 31st July 2006.

This consultation is now complete, however the Issues and Options consultation papers can still be viewed/downloaded by clicking on the links provided below.  The Summaries of Responses received during this consultation are also presented:

Next Steps
A follow-up workshop was held in February 2007 to discuss the comments received in response to the Issues and Options consultation.  Using the feedback from both the Issues and Options Consultation and the workshop, the Core Strategy has been progressed into a second 'Preferred Option' draft. To view the Core Strategy Preferred Option please click here.
