Emerging Core Strategy Preferred Option Consultation Event, January 2007

The aim of this event was to provide feedback on the comments received during the Core Strategy Issues and Options Draft consultation period, and to discuss the emerging Preferred Option.

The Council has appointed Envision Consultants to assist with the preparation of the Core Strategy Preferred Option, and the event was organised and lead by them.

Individuals and organisations who submitted comments during the Issues and Options Consultation were invited to the event.

During the day a number of workshop sessions were held to discuss emerging options for the Core Strategy. Delegates were split into groups to cover the following topics:

Vision and Spatial Strategy
Economy and Transport
Housing
Environment and Design

A report has been prepared by Envision containing information on the event and detailing the comments that were made during each of the workshop sessions held to discuss the above topics. The handouts presented on the day are also included as an appendix. To view this report, please click here.
