Image of SweeperWaste Management Services are responsible for sweeping over 38,000 kilometres of streets and footpaths each year as well as emptying litter bins and dog waste bins in the District.

The street cleansing service provides regular mechanical and manual sweeping of all adopted roads on a scheduled basis. Every road is usually swept either daily, weekly, fortnightly or four weekly, depending upon service needs. Busy High Streets will need to be swept much more regularly than quiet residential roads.

Fly Tipping

Fly Tipping is illegal.

Anyone found depositing waste other than at an authorised waste disposal site will be prosecuted.

Please report any incidences of fly-tipping to the Environment Agency on 0800 80 70 60 or contact Waste Management Services on (01756) 706203.

Litter Bins

Litter Bins are located at strategic points throughout the district and emptied according to their needs.

If you think your area would benefit from additional litter bin provision or the litter bins need emptying, please contact Waste Management Services on (01756) 706203.

Dead Animals

Dead animals are collected from the public highway and  associated areas of public land. We will also collect dead domestic pets free of charge.

Dog Waste Bins

Over 180 dog waste bins are sited at specific points around the district and are emptied according to needs.  If you find a dog waste bin damaged or needs emptying please contact Waste Management Services on (01756) 706203.
