Arts Development Service
The purpose of Craven District Council's Arts Development Service. We aim to:
Improve the quality of life for Craven residents and visitors
Develop opportunities for as many people as possible to take part in art activities, irrespective of age, religion or belief, disability, race, sexual orientation or lack of income
Promote partnership working to help extend the range and constantly improve the quality of the cultural offer
Promote best practice principles in all art forms
Support and network with existing arts organisations
Support and develop new initiatives
Contribute towards economic, community and sustainable development throughout the District
Build on the scop that the knowledge-based industries offer rural areas
Work with schools and the Extended Schools Service to help them provide five hours a week of good quality arts experience for every child in their care
Contribute towards local, regional and national strategies wherever the arts can have an impact
