Craven Museum & Gallery has many collections, ranging from those that are regionally important, like the archaeology from Elbolton Cave, to local material from the towns and villages in Craven.
The museum also cares for the nationally important Roebuck art collection, currently on loan from the Roebuck Trust.
Other collections include geology, costume, lead mining and a broad range of social history material most dating from the 19th and early 20th century.
Museum staff deal with a wide range of enquiries related to the museum collections and to aspects of local history in general.
