  Run by Craven District Council, Craven Museum & Gallery is located in Skipton Town Hall. The museum offers impressive displays of social history, archaeology, costume and art. The gallery on the ground floor shows a changing programme of exhibitions related to heritage and the arts. The museum also offers a wide range of handling sessions for schools.

• Tour de France in Craven

  In July 2014 Le Grand Depart, the start of the Tour de France, will pass through Craven District.

  We welcomed the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay on Sunday 24th June 2012. Estimates of up to 20,000 people watched the Torch travel through Skipton.
