The Council's Organisational Assessment
The Council has received its first results under CAA in December 2009. This assessed performance during the 2008/2009 financial year.
The assessment judged the Council at a score of 1 out of 4 - 'An organisation that does not meet minimum requirements - Performs Poorly.'
For Managing Performance it scored:
2 out of 4 - 'An organisation that meets only minimum requirements - Performs Adequately,'
For Use of Resources it scored:
1 out of 4 - 'An organisation that does not meet minimum requirements- Performs Poorly.'
Despite the overall poor score, the Council is very encouraged by the Audit Commission's clear recognition that the council is continuing to make significant improvements in its performance and has an optimistic approach to future assessments.
The Council's Organisational Assessment report can be downloaded from this web page.

Abolition of CAA
The new Coalition Government obolished CAA in 2010 when it came into power.
The Council will continue to be assessed by the Audit Commission on its ability to provide value for money to the residents of Craven, as part of the Audit Commission's value for money conclusion which is undertaken every year in accordance with the Commission's Code of Audit Practice.
The results are set out in the Annual Governance Report of the Council, which can be accessed via this link - Annual Governance Report.
