Updated Council Plan 2009 2012 and Budget Consultation
The Council Plan for 2009/2012 was first published in March 2009. This followed public consultation which took place in December 2008/January 2009.
The Plan is now being reviewed and an updated version will be submitted for approval in February 2010.
Once again we are seeking views on the proposals from residents, local businesses, our partners, local voluntary and community organisations, council staff and Members, and other interested parties.
We are also consulting on the Council's budget as part of this process.
The consultation will run from Friday 11th December 2009 until Friday 8th January 2010.
The Updated Council Plan 2009/2012 and Budget will be submitted for approval to the Council's Policy Committee 10th February 2010 and Council 24th February 2010.
Purpose of the Council Plan
The Council Plan sets out the Council’s agenda for improving service delivery to Craven communities, and for business transformation and organisational change.
The Plan sets out the Council’s Vision, its priorities and improvement aims achieving its vision. It details the actions to be taken by the Council against its priorities in delivering and improving services. The plan focuses on the Council's top priorities for improvement. It does not include everything the Council will do.
Council Budget
The Council’s Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) sets out the Council’s requirements and the resources available for funding its services, activities and priorities. It takes account of the revenue expenditure budget which will be used to fund the priorities set out in the Council Plan.
