Taxi Rank Provision

The Council is responsible for licensing taxis and private hire vehicles, including their drivers and operators. The main aim is to ensure the safety of the public, by ensuring that the drivers, vehicles and operators that they use are safe, reliable and efficient.

Application packs can be obtained from the Licensing Department,  on (01756) 706343
Email: environmentalhealth@cravendc.gov.uk 
Office hours for the taxi office are Wednesday - Friday 9.00am to 1.00pm

Taxi ranks in the Craven District

The District has four official ranks which are located as follows:-

  • Swadford Street, Skipton
  • Waller Hill Car Park, Skipton
  • Sackville Street, Skipton
  • Hall Street Car Park, Cross Hills
