Statement of Accounts

The Statement of Accounts is intended to give electors, Members, employees and other interested parties clear information about the Authority's finances.

The purpose of the Statement of Accounts is to provide answers to basic questions such as:-
  1. What did the Council's services cost in the year of account ?
  2. Where did the money come from ?
  3. What did the Council own and owe at the end of the financial year?

The Statement of Accounts is prepared in accordance with the Code of Practice on Local Authority Accounting.

The audited Statement of Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2012  are now available.  pdf icon Audited Statement of Accounts 2011-12.pdf [1Mb]

The audited Statement of Accounts will be available from 30th September 2012 following the external audit process.

You have  The Right to Inspect the Accounts .

Copies in alternative formats or languages can be made available on request.

Copies of the Statement of Accounts for the financial years 2010/2011, 2009/2010 and 2008/2009 financial year can also be downloaded from this web page.  Earlier years are available on request.
