Statement of Community Involvement

The Statement of Community Involvement sets out how the council will consult community groups, other organisations and members of the public on the Local Development Plan and on submitted planning applications.

The aim of the Statement of Community Involvement is to ensure all sections of the public, including local groups and organisations, are actively involved throughout the process of preparing the Local Development Plan and the determining planning applications.

The Statement of Community Involvement was completed in November 2005, and submitted to the submitted to the Secretary of State for independent examination. Following the examination, the Secretary of State sent the Council an Inspectors Report in April 2006, and the Council's Statement of Community Involvement was formally adopted on the 28th June 2006.
