Aireville Park
Aireville Park, a large open space with sporting facilities, is available for organisations to book for outdoor events.
Aireville Park dates back to the 1830's when it was part of the Aireville Estate owned by the Dewhurst family. The estate passed into the hands of Skipton Council in 1945 and it was at this time that some sporting facilities were included.
Aireville Park is available for organisations to book for open air (outdoor events). You will need to comply with certain licensing regulations, these are available by contacting the Council (01756) 792805 or email csp&fc@cravendc.gov.uk
The park boasts:
- 14 hole Pitch and Putt course
- Wheelpark for BMX, skateboards and rollerblades
- Children's play areas
- Multi Use Games Area, offering football, tennis, netball and basketball
- Craven Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre, facilities include: main and training pool, fitness centre, Coffee Lounge and Vending and health suite (sauna and steam rooms).
Aireville Park is also the home of the annual Skipton Triathlon (managed by Freebird Events), the largest pool based triathlon in Yorkshire and Humberside.
Wheelpark
Wheelpark for BMX, skateboards and rollerblades has features such as:
- quarter pipe
- grind rail
- grind edges
- steel and concrete ramps.
Free access to all for experienced and novice riders.
Play Area
We have two play areas in Aireville Park, a larger park is just a short walk from Craven Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre. The smaller park which is located just outside of the Coffee Lounge is for children up to 3 years old.
Events in Aireville Park
There are several events in the park throughout the year. The table below list the dates for each of these events. All new events must firstly check the date, contact the relevant officer and then follow our booking procedure.

26 October 2013 | Zombie Survival - "Run for Your Life" Brand new event for Skipton and one to remember. Participants navigate either a 5 or 10km course with range of obstacles while trying to avoid the zombies. Enjoy the post race zombie party, licensed bar, live music and masses of fun zombie entertainment | |
November 2013 | The Great Skipton Santa Fun Run 1000 Santa's running around the Town Centre raising funds for a selection of local charities. Excellent 5km course taking in the Histroic Market town centre, Skipton woods and Canal. Runner and Walkers of all abilites and ages welcome. |
