    The Local Development Plan will designate sites throughout the District (outside the Yorkshire Dales National Park) for development and protection up to 2026. There is now an opportunity to suggest sites to the Council to be considered for future development.

    The Council is in the process of writing a new Local Development Plan for the District (outside the Yorkshire Dales National Park), which will replace the saved policies from the 1999 Local Plan. The new Local Development Plan will contain strategic policies and will identify development sites to meet the needs of Craven up to 2026.

    The Audit and Governance Committee plays a key role within the Council's corporate governance arrangements and seeks to improve and maintain the corporate focus on the issues arising from risk management, internal control mechanisms, internal and external audit, and financial statements.
