Community Grants from Craven District Council

Craven District Council awards grants of between £100 and £1000 to local community groups for projects which benefit the local community.

To apply for a grant you will need to send us a completed grant application form and any other required paperwork.

We consider grant applications at our Community Grants Sub-Committee Meetings which are held 4 times a year in June, September, December and March.

How much funding can I ask for ?

Grant funding is currently provided at two levels:

Small Community Grants from £100 to £500 for either capital or revenue purposes. These can be for up to £100% of the total project costs.

Medium Community Grants from £501 to £1,000 for either capital or revenue purposes. These can be for up to 50% of the total project costs with the remaining 50% provided from other sources.

How to apply for funding

Completed application forms along with supporting documents should be emailed to BusinessSupport@cravendc.gov.uk

Deadline for applications

We consider grant applications at our Community Grants Sub-Committee meetings which are held 4 times a year in June, September, December and March.

For your grant to be considered at one of these meetings your completed application and any supporting documents must be received by us by the following dates:

        31 May deadline for June Sub-Committee Meeting
        31 August deadline for September Sub-Committee Meeting
        30 November deadline for December Sub-Committee Meeting
        28 February deadline for March Sub-Committee Meeting

NOTE: Dates for applications remain the same each year.

As well as supporting local communities through our  small, medium  and capital grant programmes we also support key organisations though the .

To be considered for core funding support applicants must clearly demonstrate that their organisations activities contribute to the delivery of Craven District Council Priorities and support the delivery of Council Services.

The deadline to be considered for core funding support to cover the financial years 2011-12 to 2013-14 was 3 November 2010 and we will not be running the programme this year.
