This page provides information regarding memorials that are available for Skipton Crematorium and Skipton and Ingleton Cemeteries.
If you wish to view an entry on a day other than which it appears in the Book, you may do so during normal office hours. It is advisable that you contact the Bereavement Services Office in order to make an appointment so that the pages can be turned.
An inscription can be placed in the Book of Remembrance on any special date, there are many options to choose from:
Please note: For an entry to appear in the Book of Remembrance, an application must be submitted, entries are not automatically inscribed.
A memorial card with a copy of the inscription can be produced as a memento.
A Deluxe Booklet has a number of pages for inscriptions, so additional inscriptions may be added later.
There are two books for the year, one covering January to June and the other covering July to December, housed in the Remembrance Chapel in the Waltonwray grounds. The pages are turned daily.
Seasonal Garden Plaque and Stone Vase
These are placed around the edge of the Seasonal Garden and are the only type of memorial permitted in the area. The bronze plaque, which bears an inscription of your choice, is 6" x 4".
Bronze Plaque on a Spike
These are placed where remains have been scattered, in either the raised beds or in the Garden of Rest. The bronze plaque, depending upon your choice of inscription, is either 6" x 4" or 6" x 6".
Commemorative Plaque (Plastic)
These are placed where remains have been scattered, in either the raised beds or in the Garden of Rest. These are 4" x 8" and with an inscription of your choice and have white lettering on a black plaque.
These are 15" x 15" and are made from Yorkshire Stone. They are placed in the Garden of Remembrance and up to two sets of cremated remains may be interred beneath, with an inscription of your choice. If required, a stone flower vase may be placed on the Plaque.
