10/07/12 Plans for a new commercial recycling scheme were approved by Craven District Council's Policy Committee on 10th July.
The new scheme should enable businesses throughout Craven to recycle up to 60 per cent of their waste, whilst potentially reducing their waste disposal costs.
Cllr Carl Lis, Craven's Lead Member for the Environment "We have listened to our local businesses and are pleased to announce that as a result of their feedback we will be introducing a recycling service from October this year. The service will help businesses reduce their environmental impact by diverting waste away from landfill and builds on the recent achievements of our residents who are now recycling 48% of their rubbish."
Further information on the new service will be distributed to the Council's commercial waste customers shortly with anyone wishing to register for service in advance asked to contact the Council's customer services on 01756 700600.
