Colin Iveson, Local Returning Officer at Craven said:
"When we have elections in Craven, we inevitably end up turning away someone who wants to vote because they're not registered here. Your vote is important and I encourage you to use it. Please remember, if you aren't registered you don't even have the choice whether or not to vote.
This election is for the new office of Police and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire. Have a say in who will be the Commissioner by voting on 15th November.
If it's unlikely that you'll be able to get the polling station in person on 15 November, you can apply to vote by post or proxy. It will take around two minutes to complete the form."
