  • Craven announces a further Council Tax freeze

    Craven District Council has confirmed a freeze on its Council Tax at £152.21 (band D) for a fifth successive year so householders will have no increase in Council Tax for 2015/16.

    Craven District Council's Policy Committee last night unveiled a fully funded and balanced Revenue Budget of £7.168m for 2015/16. The budget has been recommended for approval at Full Council on 24th February 2015.

    Craven District Council has successfully retained the Investors in People Standard and a recent workplace staff survey has revealed that the Council is a 'good' place to work.

  • Funding announced for canal towpath upgrade

    A £450,000 grant to upgrade the canal towpath near Skipton has been welcomed by Craven District Council, the Canal & River Trust, and the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority.
