A new service to help people stop smoking has been launched in North Yorkshire.

The Smokefreelife North Yorkshire service has been launched in 2016 for people who want to pack in the habit.

People lead busy lives and booking an appointment for things such as stopping smoking isn't always easy - that's why the service offers drop-in clinics.

Residents can come and speak to one of their approachable, fully trained advisors whenever they want at any of the Smokefreelife clinics across North Yorkshire or the service's mobile clinic. There is also a selection of clinics that operate by appointment only - call Smokefreelife on 0800 246 5215 or 01609 663023 for more information.

Clinics in Craven include one at Lloyds Pharmacy, Caroline Square, Skipton, one at Skipton Children's Centre, Brougham Street, Skipton, and clinics for patients registered at Dyneley House Surgery in Skipton and Crosshills Group Practice.

As part of their service they offer:

-              One-to-one or group sessions over 4 weeks

-              A free weekly supply of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT)

-              Drop-in clinics in local community settings, GP surgeries, supermarkets and other venues

-              A selection of clinics operating by appointment only

-              Support via Quitline, text or our Face-to-Face video chat service

-              Home visits for people with mobility problems
