Appeal for owners of lost Alaskan malamute to come forward

Craven District Council officers are searching for the owner of an Alaskan malamute who was handed in to them last week.

The young male dog, thought to be aged between around eight and 18 months, is not microchipped and the owners have not yet come forward to claim him.

He was found on Wednesday March 23, near the junction of the A6069 (Broughton Road) and the A59, on the road by the canal.

The dog is currently being kept in kennels and if he is not claimed after seven days, he will be rehomed.

Anyone with information about who the dog belongs to is asked to call Craven District Council's customer services on 01756 700 600.
