Craven District Council is running a Skills and Recruitment Business Pop-up Event on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, from 8.30am to 12 noon at the Innovation Centre, Principle Healthcare, on Airedale Business Park in Skipton.

Sharon Sunter, Economic Development Manager at Craven District Council, said: "This event will provide an opportunity for businesses to find out how others have benefited from staff training and apprenticeships and to question the providers. There will also be an opportunity for people to obtain one-to-one advice."

To-date, 15 businesses based in Craven have been awarded grants for training, including Skipton-based Norvap who were awarded a grant of £3,120 grant to enhance its customer service, develop its marketing strategy, and expand its internal management capabilities, as it expands into new markets across the globe.

Local businesses will be able to obtain one-to-one advice from organisations such as Craven College and their apprenticeship team; Airedale Enterprise Services and the Business Growth Service.
