big draw

The free drop-in event takes place on Saturday October 22 from 10am to 4pm, at Craven Museum and Exhibition Gallery in Skipton Town Hall, and is part of the worldwide Big Draw Festival.

Children and adults alike are invited to come along and make a drawing to contribute to the museum's display, showing the world how drawing changes lives beyond art.

Rachel Terry, Museum & Collections Officer, said: "This is a fantastic way for people to get involved in this global event.

"Be inspired by the Craven collections and come along to invent your own machine, design your own fossil or create your own patterns! We'll be exploring science, technology, engineering and maths through art for a truly STEAM powered event!

Then on Thursday October 27, the Museum celebrates Museums at Night, with torch-lit tours and twilight activities. This free drop-in event takes place from 5pm to 8pm and includes opportunities to make shadow puppets and lanterns, whilst hearing stories from the Museum's collections and seeing items not usually on display.
