Parks and open spaces - maintenance

Craven District Council undertakes routine cutting of grass, tree and hedge pruning and shrub maintenance for the land it owns and on behalf of some parish councils.

ISS currently undertakes the grounds maintenance service on behalf of the Council.

The service includes the following throughout the district:

  • Maintenance of Aireville Park - grass areas, the pitch and putt course, emptying of litter bins and litter picking.
  • Cuts 146,057 sq of Highway verges, other amenity areas and parks.
  • Maintains 346 sq of flower beds and rose beds.
  • Maintains 4,460 sq m of rockery, shrubs and 405m of hedges.

Please note grass areas are cut on a regular basis. Continued bad weather can delay cutting and extended dry weather may make cutting unnecessary.

If you are dissatisfied with the service or would like further information, please contact us using the details on the right.
