Wuthering Heights takes place on Friday November 3, at 7.30pm, with tickets priced at £10 for adults and £8 for under-18s.

This is an intense story of the fiery love between Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, a foundling adopted by Catherine's father. Believing that Catherine does not love him, Heathcliff leaves Wuthering Heights, returning years later to seek revenge.

Danielle Daglan, Programming and Venue Development Manager at Craven District Council, which runs Skipton Town Hall, said: "We're delighted to welcome back Hotbuckle Theatre; they are experts in bringing classic literature to the stage. With live music, multiple characterisation, humour and inventiveness, this story really comes to life in their hands."

A spokesman for the professional theatre company said: "We produce new writing and original work, but are best known for our adaptations of traditional, classic works of literature. We don't like to conform when we adapt these tales - we like to think we don't just do what people expect.

"Our style is distinctive - lightning fast costume changes, humour, but above all we strive to make whatever story we are telling as human as possible. Novels that may well have seemed impenetrable before will be unlocked and freed for an audience to enjoy."

Skipton Town Hall box office is situated in the Tourist Information Centre, in Skipton Town Hall, High Street, Skipton, which is open from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday. Phone orders for tickets are also welcome - call 01756 792809. For more information on events go to
