Information on household waste assisted collections
If you have difficulties putting out your refuse and recycling for collection due to disability, illness or infirmity and if assistance is not available from another member of the household or neighbour, we can make alternative arrangements to help you.
We will arrange to collect your refuse and recycling from within your property boundary or at an agreed collection point each week (refuse one week, recycling the following week and so on)
You can apply for an assisted collection by:
Once the application has been approved, you will receive a letter confirming that you have been added onto the assist list. The service will usually begin within 5 working days.
If you no longer require the assisted collection service or if circumstances change, please advise us as soon as possible.
Please note: every year we will ask you to renew the service.
